Michael Mormando has been a restaurant operator for 22 years on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. His family has always been involved in the Restaurant and Hotel industry. He grew up in New York where his family operated restaurants and catering facilities in prominent Manhattan Hotels and restaurant locations since the early 1960’s. Michael extended his professional education in the field of Hotel and Restaurant Management School at the 2nd highest acclaimed academy in the United States, The University of Denver. Upon graduation with honors in his field Michael moved to Chicago to begin his career in the food and beverage industry. He has had the opportunity to work with many mentors and legendary proprietors in the restaurant business, where they have always guided his development as an operator to be a traditional restaurateur. Michael is happily married to his lovely wife Rita and has four children, Nicole, Rita, Peter and Tiffany. You can always find Michael operating his restaurant in Hoffman Estates every weekend evening.
